Krause Publications commissioned HK to create an event piece for the second consecutive year for the 1999 International Collectible Expositions in Long Beach, California, in April and Rosemont, Illinois, in June. 2500 pieces were available at each show. The piece features three dogs crowded around a swap ‘n sell table admiring 1998’s ICE piece “Sneak Preview.” Mad Murphy counts his coins under the table. “Charge P.J. Double” is a tribute to HK collector Joe McLaughlin. Two hundred pieces portray Peter Calvesbert splayed inside with Groucho Marx glasses “appropriately” positioned. The remaining pieces have a fig leaf replacing the glasses. Hallmarks include ©, HBC logo, ed.#, and Pc.
